Homestead Blessings

Standard

Yesterday was a blessed day! We enjoyed a beautiful drive through the rolling hills of Ohio to visit my parents at The Homestead. It was Tyler’s first time meeting his new grandparents and we weren’t sure how it was going to go. Needless to say they were a hit with Tyler. It didn’t take him long before he was calling for Mimi and Pop Pop to come and follow him and to see the next great thing he has found to show them. Everyone enjoyed meeting the new goats..Nellie, Gertrude and Sissy. The new fluffy peeps (who remain nameless at this time) were also a hit with the kids..especially Tyler!
For lunch we enjoyed a tasty picnic and the kids roasted hotdogs over the fire except for Tyler who wanted his two hotdogs raw and cold. He declared them delicious..Yuck!
I think the highlight of the day was sitting in the barn and the rain fell outside watching the kids play in the hay as we visited. They loved jumping between the bales of hay and hiding. It was a beautiful autumn day, a wonderful meeting of Tyler and his new grandparents, and a chance to celebrate missed birthdays.. a day full of blessings!

Gracie waiting by the fire to roast her hot dog for lunch. Isn’t she a beauty..

Everybody had fun playing in the hay at the barn..even Rosie and Ranger!

Everywhere Molly went a parade of goats would follow. Here are Nellie, Gertrude, and Sissy.

Rusty loved the peeps and they loved him 🙂

Tyler also loved the fluffy, yellow chicks
